From idea to finished product
From an initial idea and a few specifications, a fully designed 3D-printable iris diaphragm with a diameter of approximately 250 mm was created.
From requirements definition to mechanical development and CAD design, all steps were implemented, including assembly testing and manufacturing-ready preparation.
The result: complete CAD data, individual parts, technical drawings and 3D printable files – ready for manufacturing and assembly.

From a cardboard sketch to a finished CAD assembly
A photo. A phone call. From that, a complete assembly was created.
Not every project begins with a completed specification or an existing design.
In this project, the entire starting point consisted solely of a hand-drawn sketch on a piece of cardboard. There were no CAD data, technical drawings, or detailed manufacturing documents. The only basis was a photograph of the hand-drawn sketch and several telephone consultations.
Initial Situation
A completely new assembly had to be developed for the modification of a component in a wastewater treatment plant. Since no digital documentation was available, the design had to be interpreted directly from a hand sketch and converted step-by-step into a precise 3D CAD model.
Challenge
The greatest challenge was to develop a technically sound and logical design based on very limited information. Many geometric relationships had to be logically deduced, even though complete technical documentation did not exist.
Implementation
The basic geometry was initially developed using a photo of a sketch drawn on a cardboard box. During the design phase, all components were built up, coordinated with one another, and continuously expanded based on phone feedback. Special attention was paid to a logically structured assembly layout, ensuring that future modifications remain easy to implement.
Result
A fully editable CAD assembly was created from a simple hand sketch within a short period of time. The customer received a digital foundation that allows future modifications and technical advancements to be implemented efficiently.

Reverse engineering of an Alpine A110 rally component
Reverse engineering of an Alpine A110 rally component

No drawings. No CAD data. Only photos.
No CAD models or technical drawings were available for this project. The entire reconstruction had to be done solely based on several photographs of a component from an Alpine A110 rally car.
Initial situation
The goal was to completely digitally recreate an existing component. Since only photographs were available, all proportions, geometries, and connection surfaces had to be carefully interpreted and reconstructed.
Challenge
Photos do not provide exact dimensions. Perspectives, viewing angles, and optical distortions significantly complicate the reconstruction. Nevertheless, the component had to be built as realistically as possible and later serve as a basis for further development work.
Implementation
First, all available images were analyzed and compared. Then, a fully editable CAD model was created step by step. During the modeling process, all geometries were continuously checked and adjusted to the identified proportions.
Result
A complete digital CAD model was created from several photographs. The reconstruction forms the basis for later technical modifications, visualizations, or further development work.

Historical building plans digitized – from paper to AutoCAD
40-year-old paper drawings have been made digitally usable again.
For a residential building in Bern, only building plans from the 1980s existed. However, fully digital CAD data was needed for future renovations and planning.
Initial situation
The existing paper drawings had to be completely digitized. Floor plans, elevations, and sections were to be precisely transferred and created as clean CAD files.
Challenge
Historical plans often contain handwritten additions, differing measurements, or minor inaccuracies. All information had to be carefully checked and consistently transferred into modern CAD drawings.
Implementation
All building plans were analyzed and then completely rebuilt in AutoCAD. During the digitization process, all drawings were structured, organized, and coordinated. This resulted in a complete digital drawing set.
Result
The original paper drawings were completely converted into modern CAD data. The client received structured DWG files and PDF plans as a basis for future renovations and further planning services. Paper plans don't have to be an obstacle.
